Trkr User Guide

End-to-end setup for tracking elements, reviewing updates, and managing your monitoring queue.

Core tracking workflow

  1. Install the browser extension and open a page you care about.
  2. Select the element and give it a useful title.
  3. Open the Console to verify status and latest check timestamp.
  4. Click any tracked element to review text/image/number changes in detail.

Tips for reliable tracking

  • Target stable page regions like a product price or policy paragraph.
  • Name selections by intent: "Nike Air Max price" beats "selector 3".
  • Self-Healing: If a site redesigns, our AI automatically self-heals your selectors to keep tracking uninterrupted.

Advanced Monitoring

Standard vs. High-Reliability Slots

Most websites work with Standard Slots. However, some highly protected sites (like Amazon or Walmart) require High-Reliability Slots. These slots use specialized routing and residential proxies to ensure your checks never get blocked.

Extension Affinity

Trkr prioritizes Extension Affinity—performing checks directly from your browser when possible. This provides the most accurate "human-like" capture and ensures maximum privacy since your data never leaves your local environment unless necessary.

AI Summaries

Instead of manually unpicking every diff, Trkr provides Natural Language Summaries. Our AI analyzes the change and summarizes it for you (e.g., "Price decreased by 15%" or "Terms added regarding student discounts").

FAQ

How often is content checked?

Checks run hourly for Solo users, up to every 5 minutes on Pro, and as fast as every 30 seconds for Team accounts.

Can I track more than prices?

Yes. Text, images, policy blocks, and numeric values are all supported.

Why no updates after a manual site refresh?

Changes are captured on scheduled checks, not browser refreshes. Wait for the next run.
